The 650S GT3 is McLaren’s new supercar meant for track-only GT racing. Building on the success of the 12C GT3, this racer features improved aerodynamics, better cooling and enhanced safety. Based on the design of the 650S road car the engineers of McLaren have used the newest Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technology and have developed new lightweight carbon-fibre bodywork for the car, carefully managing the airflow of the machine. The end result is a car with a magnificent presence, a new carbon-fibre fixed rear wing, re-profiled side intakes, and a frightening and aggressive new nose. Going under the hood, the suspension geometry has been revamped completely, with a 52mm wider track and new wheels and tyres, thus ensuring improved front-end grip and drivability.
This car is an absolute speed demon. It has been built to go the distance and will bring us that much closer to victory.
